“ The best hidden gem in BBQ. Had the pleasure of meeting the owners, chef, and rest of the team while competing in a competition they were hosting. You need to take a trip here for the BBQ. Their house sauces are delicious, seasonings are grade A, and everything is cooked to perfection. They do smoked pigs and gators too. And yes, it’s in the Ren Fest Fair Grounds. ”
“ To me and my buddy's surprise, 1572 is a Renaissance Festival restaurant that is both accessible from inside the fairgrounds and from the "outside" via gravel road off of Route 73. It appears as just another "shop" within the fairgrounds, but you grab your grub and then go sit in a communal eating area that is close to a bar and small performing stage. The focus here though is the meats. All about the meats. I had the tri-tip and 4x rib combo with mac-and-cheese and sweet corn bread. All of it was really good, though the ribs could be a little more moist. ”

Corn bread was great too. Very friendly staff, not nearly as busy as it deserves to be on a Friday night. Food like this in Columbus would cost twice as much. Definitely will be back. ”
